Dana Saxton with New Life Furniture Bank Cincinnati, Oh

When people are coming out of devastating circumstances like homelessness, domestic violence or abuse, extreme poverty, aging out of foster care, death or divorce in a family unit, or immigration/refugee situations, people often move into unfurnished homes and are not able to afford furniture.

A family moving into a vacant home is 3 times more likely to return to homelessness.

Living in an unfurnished home often results in sleeping and eating on the floor, and often results in a lack of hope and dignity, poor quality of life, and health problems.
